Many knew that it would be a long wait for the next installment of the new version to be released, but that it would also be a long wait before players on other platforms got their hands on the first part. About a year later, Square Enix brought a new version of the game to PlayStation 5 and PC via the Epic Games Store. Both Xbox and Steam players have been left hanging to dry, but thankfully, at least one of these platforms is getting the game right now.

Square Enix has confirmed that the game will run on Steam Deck, so you can experience the Cloud Journey no matter where you are.
Unfortunately, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part of the saga remake, has only been confirmed on PlayStation 5 at the moment. It will launch next winter, but given that the original game ported to PC a year later, we can probably expect a similar situation for the sequel. As for whether the games will make it to Xbox, it looks like they’re up in the air for now.
